Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Master Service Technician based in South Milwaukee, WI. This role is accountable for providing post‑sales support from within the division services group for assigned products and plants, handling daily and long‑term warranty and non‑warranty activities such as product troubleshooting, product return, rework, and issue resolution.
Expected annual salary range: $68,000 – $99,000 per year. Salary is based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll Do- Utilizes the applicable Quality Database Management System and SAP to record and process product return and repairs, create work orders to process equipment production testing, and document necessary information to the organization.
- Performs inspection, troubleshooting, testing, product repairs, and equipment analysis investigations, providing technical guidance for repairs in the field or returned to external service providers as required.
- Provides the organization with information related to analysis findings of returned product.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of Switchgear Controls and associated Apparatus products.
- Participates in service ticket follow‑up activities with appropriate internal and external resources to ensure tickets are completed and customer issues resolved, maintaining communication with Warranty Services Representatives regarding repair status and anticipated return of product.
- Assists with or participates in customer visits, product teardown, plant tours, or customer witness testing, including leading customer training in Switchgear Apparatus products.
- Maintains department and ISO quality standards for warranty activities, dedicated to continuous improvement.
- Supports limited domestic and international travel to organize, perform, or oversee field repairs or related service activities.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2‑3 years in production testing of controls, field service, or engineering experience with electrical/mechanical equipment or power systems products.
- 1+ year of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic controls or equipment.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- No relocation is offered; candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of South Milwaukee, WI (Active‑Duty Military Service members are exempt).
- Knowledge of technical and commercial aspects of product design, manufacture, and application.
- Bachelor of Science degree in an electronics field from an accredited institution.
