Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully‑equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are seeking 1st & 2nd Shift Material Handlers to assist in the movement of steel/metal and other materials (West Milwaukee & South Milwaukee Locations).

Responsibilities

• Move materials to work areas in preparation for building product.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Order picking.
• Coordinate and stage materials quickly and safely.
• Read blueprints to determine materials necessary for projects as well as timelines.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a material handler.
• Previous forklift experience (sit‑down); overhead crane experience a plus.
• 1‑3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve.
• Highly motivated, able to communicate and work well with others.
• Pay attention to details and have a strong drive to succeed.
• Must pass a competency test and pre‑employment physical including drug screening.
• Ability to read blueprints to pick appropriate materials.
