American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Level 2 trauma center position requiring at least 3 years of high-acuity ICU experience and an active IL RN license.
Details- ICU setting within a Level 2 trauma center
- Patient population includes respiratory failure, MSOF, DKA, sepsis, general and vascular surgery, and alcohol/drug withdrawal and behavioral patients
- Day shift schedule, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- First to float to other ICU and inpatient units within the facility
- No on-call requirements
- First day of orientation is day shift; second day is floor orientation on contracted shift
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation
- Active IL RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 3 years of high-acuity ICU experience required
- 5 years of ICU experience and prior travel experience preferred
- New graduates not accepted
- Two professional references within the last 12 months from a supervisor or charge nurse
- Resume, skills checklist, active license and certification verification, and cover letter required for consideration
- Provide critical care nursing to a diverse and high-acuity ICU patient population
- Trauma background less important than years of ICU experience given the facility's trauma level
- 12-week contract length
