Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Room RN for an 8-week evening contract requiring prior travel nursing experience and Epic proficiency.

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• BLS certification must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross only
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, 4+ years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• Epic EMR experience required
• New graduates will not be considered
• Date of birth required for consideration
• 2 professional references required, with 1 reference mandatory from most recent travel assignment

• Emergency Room department in a hospital setting
• Evening shift, 12-hour shifts from 3:00pm-3:00am
• Rotating weekend requirements
• No floating required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide emergency department nursing care across a range of patient presentations
• Holiday coverage required, minimum of 3 shifts between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days during the 8-week contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away for 12 months to be considered as a traveler
• Facility conducts a brief interview as part of the hiring process
