Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience, Epic proficiency, and a prior successful travel assignment.

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Experience with Ortho, General, and Robotics (da Vinci) surgical cases required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• At least one successfully completed travel contract required
• Scrub experience preferred
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the area, dated within the last year
• At least one travel reference preferred
• Full SSN required for consideration

• Operating Room setting within a hospital
• Surgical cases include Orthopedic, General, and Robotics (da Vinci)
• 13-week contract on day shift
• 10-hour shifts from 06:30-17:00
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements, though helping out is welcomed
• 30-minute lunch break required
• 4 hours of non-billable orientation
• Looking for a strong culture fit with a team-player attitude, willingness to help teammates, positive attitude, and reliability
• Must be on time for all shifts
• No holiday coverage required for this assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from the facility for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO for 13-week contracts limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Facility conducts a brief interview, approximately 10-15 minutes, as part of the hiring process
