Part-Time Payroll Clerk

Pinxton, Nottinghamshire | Up to £35,000 pro rata | 4 days per week

Astute Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join a well-established business based in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire.

This is a hands-on payroll role and looking for someone who is confident managing end-to-end payroll and can take ownership of the process.

The role:

You’ll be responsible for processing payroll from start to finish, including:

* Payroll for around 300+ employees

* Checking time and attendance data and agency timesheets

* Identifying and correcting discrepancies, particularly where employees have worked unusual shifts

* Processing SSP, maternity and paternity

* Holiday calculations and records

* Attachments of earnings

* Dealing with payroll queries

* Ensuring payroll is accurate and processed on time

About you:

You’ll need at least 3 years’ solid payroll experience, with strong end-to-end payroll knowledge.

We’re looking for someone who is confident managing payroll from start to finish and can work independently, with a real eye for detail. You’ll need to be comfortable checking figures, spotting discrepancies and investigating anything that doesn’t look right.

You should have experience with:

* Weekly payroll

* Processing SSP, maternity and paternity

* Holiday calculations and records

* Attachments of earnings

* Payroll queries

* Time and attendance systems and timesheets

* Checking and correcting payroll discrepancies

* Sage Payroll experience is essential, and you’ll need to be confident taking ownership of the payroll process and ensuring everything is accurate and completed on time
