JRS Associates have partnered up with an established precision engineering manufacturer to recruit an experienced Project Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to manage projects from initial customer requirements through manufacturing, delivery and completion.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production, quality, purchasing and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required technical and quality standards.
The Successful Project Engineer – Package:
* £42,000 – £55,000 per annum
* Salary dependent on experience
* Permanent position
* Day shift
* Long-term progression opportunity
* Opportunity to work on technically demanding aerospace and precision engineering projects
The Successful Project Engineer – Responsibilities:
* Manage engineering projects from initial requirement through to delivery
* Coordinate engineering, production, purchasing and quality departments
* Review engineering drawings and customer specifications
* Support NPI activity
* Manage project schedules and milestones
* Identify risks, delays and bottlenecks
* Liaise directly with customers
* Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors
* Support RFQs and technical reviews
* Monitor progress against customer delivery requirements
* Ensure relevant manufacturing and quality documentation is completed
* Support continuous improvement and process-development activities
The Successful Project Engineer – Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, NPI Engineer or technically focused Project Manager
* Strong engineering or manufacturing background
* Experience with in aerospace, precision engineering, CNC machining or fabrication
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings
* Experience coordinating technical projects
* Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
* Experience with NPI, FAIRs, BOMs or manufacturing documentation advantageous
* Strong project planning and problem-solving skills
* Able to work cross-functionally across manufacturing departments
* AS9100 experience would be highly advantageous
