Location:
North Nottinghamshire (commutable from Mansfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Alfreton and Nottingham)
Salary: £17.13 - £20.87 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours:
37.5 hours per week (Rotating Double Days)
Shift Pattern
Week 1
Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Friday: 6:00am - 11:30am
Week 2
Monday - Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Friday: 11:30am - 5:00pm
The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced CNC Millers to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-specification components to the aerospace industry. Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you will manufacture precision components using 4 and 5 Axis CNC milling machines while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Set and operate 4 and 5 Axis CNC milling machines to produce high-precision aerospace components.
Machine a range of materials including Titanium, Inconel and Hardened Steel.
Read and work from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards.
Carry out in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
Meet production targets while maintaining right-first-time quality.
Follow Health & Safety procedures and 5S standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean working environment.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you should have:
Previous experience setting and operating 4 or 5 Axis CNC milling machines.
Experience with in a precision engineering environment such as Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Oil & Gas or subcontract machining.
Apprentice trained or qualified through relevant industry experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience machining high-value or exotic materials is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
