JRS Associates have partnered with a leading aerospace manufacturer to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector to join their growing quality team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment, inspecting high-quality aerospace components using a wide range of manual inspection equipment while enjoying long-term job security and excellent working conditions.
The Successful Quality Inspector – Package:
* £15.00 to £16.00 per hour
* 37.5 hours per week – (Mon–Thurs: 8.00am – 4.30pm & Friday: 8.00am – 1.30pm)

The Successful Quality Inspector – Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within Aerospace, Precision Engineering, CNC Machining, Defence or Motorsport
* Confident reading and interpreting first-angle and third-angle engineering drawings
* Experienced inspecting precision-machined components to engineering drawings and specifications
* Competent using Vernier Callipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Micrometers, Pin Gauges, Slip Gauges and Protractors
* Able to inspect components to tolerances of ±0.25mm and finer where required
* Strong understanding of dimensional inspection and engineering tolerances
* Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to inspection
* Good communication skills and the ability to accurately complete inspection documentation
* Able to identify, record and report non-conforming components
The Successful Quality Inspector –
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect precision-machined aerospace components against engineering drawings and specifications
* Read and interpret engineering drawings in both first-angle and third-angle projection
* Measure and verify:
* Linear dimensions
* Length and width
* Hole diameters
* Hole positions
* H7 & H11 fits
* Centre-to-centre dimensions
* Slots
* Radii
* Angles
* Carry out dimensional inspections using a range of manual metrology equipment
