JRS Associates have partnered up with an established precision engineering manufacturer to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager / Sales Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering sales professional to join a growing business supplying demanding sectors including aerospace, with manufacturing capabilities across CNC machining, precision engineering, sheet metal and fabrication.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, building strong customer relationships and helping drive the continued commercial growth of the company.
The Successful Business Development Manager / Sales Manager – Package:- £50,000 – £65,000+ per annum

- Opportunity to play a key part in the commercial growth of the business
- Develop new business opportunities across aerospace and precision engineering markets
- Generate new customers and profitable long-term accounts
- Build relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and subcontract manufacturers
- Manage incoming RFQs and commercial opportunities
- Work closely with estimating, engineering and production teams
- Attend customer meetings and industry events
- Negotiate commercial terms and framework agreements
- Maintain an active sales pipeline
- Provide forecasts and updates to senior management
- Identify new markets and areas for business growth
- Proven business development or technical sales experience
- Background within precision engineering, aerospace or subcontract manufacturing
- Strong understanding of CNC machining, fabricated components or sheet metal manufacture
- Proven track record of winning new business
- Strong customer relationship management skills
- Experience dealing with RFQs, quotations and tenders
- Existing aerospace contacts would be highly advantageous
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
