Class 2 HGV Driver

Job Description

HGV 2 / LGV 2 / CLASS 2 DRIVERS WANTED – IMMEDIATE START

Working for one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of plastic building products, you will be responsible for the delivery of products to construction sites, builders merchants and customers throughout the whole UK. On average you will complete between 4 and 8 drops per day. You will be driving a vehicle with a curtain side trailer so will be required to open a curtain and wait to be unloaded.

All drivers will be expected to carry out vehicle checks prior to deliveries and complete all paperwork in line with company guidelines.

This a full time temp to perm position

Hourly Rate:
Pay for this role is £14.29 per hour with over time paid at £19.49 after 40 hours. Nights out are also paid at £27.00 per night (Tax Free)

Working Hours:

Working hours are Monday to Friday with start times ranging between  each day averaging 13-15 hour days. Driver will also be required to have nights out averaging 2-3 nights out per week

Closing Date:

To apply for this role you must have the following:

• HGV/LGV Class 2 Licence
• Full UK CPC
• Valid digital tacho card
• No more than 6 points

To be considered for this role you must have held your licence for a minimum of 1 year with at least 180 days commercial driving experience.
