Estimator I supporting transmission, distribution, and substation projects for utility and energy clients.
Responsibilities Include- Review plans, specifications, and field data to perform quantity takeoffs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, equipment, and materials.
- Assist in developing competitive bids and supporting bid strategy.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Support pre-bid site reviews and incorporate field findings into estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to develop safe, constructible solutions aligned with budget.
- Strong estimating and takeoff skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret construction documents and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of cost breakdowns for labor, equipment, and materials.
- Effective communication and coordination with internal teams and external vendors/subcontractors.
- Commitment to safety and practical, buildable project solutions.
