EOP​/LEAP Center Student Peer Mentor

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Administrative Specialist, EOP Peer Mentors serve as an EOP representative and assistant to current and prospective students, families, and guests. Positions within the EOP provide excellent employment opportunities for students interested in developing professional and interpersonal skills, and they develop communication, customer service, and clerical skills.

• Assist students in developing an awareness of academic resources and opportunities, policies, and support services.
• Assist and greet walk‑in current and prospective students and families.
• Facilitate and encourage attendance at all EOF events.
• Represent the EOF program in a positive, appropriate and professional manner.
• Provide a premier experience for current students and prospective students and families.
• Record detailed information to disseminate to appropriate staff members in the event they are unavailable to take a call.
• Inform office staff via TEAMS of student appointments, visitors, etc.
• Distribute department mail.
• Handle confidential material.
• Occasional weekends may be required at Open Houses and Pirate Preview.
• Make outgoing calls to current and prospective students.
• Other duties as assigned.

YES – Federal Work Study eligibility required (check your 2025/26 Financial Aid Award Offer).

• Must be a current EOP student at Seton Hall University.
• Be in good standing with the EOP.
• Minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 2.75.
• Be eligible for Federal Work Study.
