Elementary Music Band Teacher

A growing music school with two locations is seeking a qualified Elementary school band teacher for classroom and private lessons two-three days a week. School programs would begin August 2024, private lessons and school planning and training can begin immediately.

We are looking for highly qualified & versatile instructors to join our team of effective and caring music educators. Instructors will begin on a part-time basis, with a beginning hourly rate of $32.50 and the opportunity to discuss a raise in January. Lessons are to be taught on site, in person.

We are in need of one-on-one music teachers as well as assistance with a beginning concert band group class. We provide dental, telemedicine, accrued sick leave, and professional development workshops.

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or greater in a related field.
• Previous teaching experience is a plus.
• The ability to teach to the individual while still meeting set goals for each student.
• Good people skills: works well with both children and adults, and enjoys building client relationships.
• Timely & Reliable: consistency in lessons is important to student growth & success.
• Good time management skills.
• A positive attitude during instruction: the ability to encourage and motivate students to work through their weak areas and to build upon their strengths.
• The desire to collaborate with a team to create a high-quality, yet fun, music education environment.
• Must love teaching - the desire to make teaching your career is a big plus!
