General ResponsibilitiesCandidate will work with our geotechnical and materials testing/inspection departments and be responsible for a wide variety of projects for public and private sector clients. Duties may include: test boring/test pit observations, laboratory analysis, preparation of geotechnical reports and calculations, management of field staff, review of daily field reports, performance of on‑site construction materials testing services, etc.
Requirements- Must be local to the Northern New Jersey market and have deep local industry experience and relationships.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Must meet pre‑employment requirements.
- Reliable vehicle suitable for use on construction sites.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60‑80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in the geotechnical engineering consulting industry.
- Professional Engineering license in New Jersey.
- Familiarity with New Jersey specific codes and requirements for geotechnical explorations.
- Familiarity with geotechnical software (e.g., Gint, L‑Pile, MSEW, etc.).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong business development experience.
- Ability to interpret engineering and construction plans/specifications.
