Responsibilities- Prepare exam and treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments.
- Assist patients for physician visits and examinations as directed.
- Takes patient's vital signs and records them in the medical chart.
- Operate and care for special equipment; perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test, UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other lab tests per checklist.
- Maintain records: complete patient records, file reports, and assist with collections/billing procedures.
- Use computer software to maintain office systems.
- Identify and respond to confidentiality issues.
- Tailor care to patient needs; communicate with patients, parents, or caregivers at appropriate level.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Perform physical tasks: lift/push/pull minimum of 5 lbs., and stand a minimum of 1 hour per day.
- High School diploma or equivalent such as GED.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively and supportively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certified Medical Assistant / Certified Registered Medical Assistant / National Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
Minimum rate of $23.27 hourly. We are committed to pay equity and transparency in line with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act.
