We are currently looking for a Night Auditor to join our Front Desk Team at our Hampton Inn with 107 guest rooms, located off I‑287/I‑95 in South Plainfield, a half‑mile from Hadley Center and 10 minutes from Piscataway. Rutgers University – New Brunswick is six miles away, and we’re close to a variety of corporate offices. The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center is nine miles away, and we’re 30 minutes from Newark Airport.
We serve a daily hot complimentary to all our guests. A great place to stay – a great place to work. The Hampton Inn is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award‑winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.
- Greeting guests, completing the check‑in/check‑out procedure through the Property Management System while obtaining and storing pertinent information.
- Handling cash, credit card information, and goods at the property.
- Identifying the needs of each guest and providing relevant information regarding hotel services and amenities to create an accommodating environment for all; responding to all guest requests in a timely manner.
- Taking reservations from incoming callers and inputting all pertinent information into the hotel management system; updating and canceling reservations as requested by the guest.
- Organizing previous shift’s paperwork, closing and balancing all room accounts and vouchers, investigating and analyzing out‑of‑balance situations, running trial‑balance reports and night audit.
- Preparing guest folios for express check‑out.

WhatYou Bring
- Customer Service experience, in a hotel setting preferred.
- Hilton experience is a plus.
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Computer knowledge including intranet, Property Management System, Word, and Excel is strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.
- Typical Schedule:
Overnights, 11 PM–7 AM; weekend availability needed.
- Paid weekly (every Friday).
- $18.50 /hr.
