Forklift Operator (2nd Shift) – South Plainfield, NJ

Georgia-Pacific Recycling is seeking a Forklift Operator for our South Plainfield, NJ facility. This role supports sustainability efforts by transporting incoming and outgoing product through the facility. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, excellent attendance, and forklift operations knowledge.

Salary: Starting at $20/hr.

Shift: 2nd shift Monday – Friday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (rotating Saturdays 6:00 AM–2:30 PM). The role also works weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.

What You Will Do:

• Safely operate a sit‑down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Work collaboratively with other team members.
• Maintain a safe work environment by removing debris from warehouse areas.
• Perform tasks that require lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Promote safe work practices and strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to eight (8) hours a day.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• 6 months or more experience using a forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Experience with a skid steer or front‑end loader (what will put you ahead).
