Our Part‑time Home Infusion RN provides direct care to clients in their homes, instructs and supervises clients or significant others in safe therapy administration, storage and disposal of supplies, potential side effects, and monitors therapy throughout. They start, restart, and maintain IV access devices as required and remain familiar with pumps, supplies, and access devices.

• Coordinate patient visits, calling the patient the night before and notifying if running late.
• Arrange pharmacy supplies, including medication and sharps containers.
• Attend ongoing continuing education to stay current with certifications and therapies.
• Communicate timely with Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete daily reports, documentation, UORs, timesheets, and expense vouchers within required time frames.
• Conduct initial assessment, education, and documentation during visits, returning paperwork within one week.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy administration, side effects, complications, and equipment use.
• Follow infection control guidelines, waste disposal, and company policies.
• Maintain vehicle safety while driving and using cell phones.
• Obtain physician orders for discontinuing therapy and generate orders in the chart.
• Report inappropriate assignments and conditions that compromise patient care.
• Review Bill of Rights, obtain consents, perform fall assessments, review medications, and complete patient profiles.
• Schedule initial visit to coincide with the first scheduled home dose and verify patient identifiers.
• Understand and adhere to company policy and requirements.
• Assist co‑workers, cross‑train, and support management as needed.
• Accept alternating work schedules on short notice and on‑call coverage as required.

• Current licensure by the New Jersey Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Completion of an IV certification course.
• Previous home infusion experience.
• Successful completion of all orientation programs.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment.
• Readiness to perform on‑call duties.

• PICC and Chemotherapy certifications.

• Part‑time employment: 22 hours per week.
• 8‑hour shifts, 3 days a week. Must be available for Monday or Friday shifts.
• Work in private homes; possible exposure to biomedical/hazardous waste and puncture wounds; all climates.
• Participate in on‑call coverage 2 days per month, including 1 weekend every 2 months.
• On‑call one holiday per year.
