Senior Associate Scientist II or Scientist I

Admera Health is hiring a Scientist to join our Biopharma Services team. This hands-on laboratory role supports pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic research through genomics and next-generation sequencing (NGS). Title and responsibilities will align with your education, experience, and demonstrated capabilities.
Hands-on Ultima Genomics sequencing experience is highly preferred.

What You Will Be Doing
Process biological samples; perform DNA/RNA extraction, quantification, PCR/qPCR, electrophoresis, and NGS library preparation.
Execute sequencing workflows, including library QC, run setup, loading, monitoring, and quality review, according to training and project assignments.
Support RNA-seq, WGS, WES, and, as appropriate, single-cell, spatial, or long-read projects.
Use LIMS and instrument software to maintain accurate records, sample traceability, and data integrity.
Troubleshoot sample, reagent, and instrument issues; perform routine equipment care and monitor reagent supplies.
Follow laboratory quality and safety procedures, maintain SOPs, and contribute to workflow and automation improvements.
Coordinate with project managers and bioinformatics colleagues to deliver reliable results on schedule.
Role Levels and Expectations
Senior Associate Scientist II
Execute established experiments with guidance and contribute to troubleshooting and protocol refinement.
Support QC review, documentation, project timelines, and teammate training with oversight.
Scientist I
Independently plan, troubleshoot, and optimize experiments; contribute to or lead workflow development.
Mentor junior staff, serve as a technical resource, and present findings to internal teams and clients as appropriate.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
M.S. or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
Senior Associate Scientist II:
Typically 2-3 years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience.
Scientist I:
Typically 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience, or a Ph.D. with industry exposure.
Practical molecular biology skills and experience with nucleic acid QC, NGS library preparation, and sequencing workflows.
Hands-on experience with one or more sequencing platforms, such as Illumina, Ultima Genomics, Pac Bio, or Complete Genomics/DNBSEQ.
Strong documentation, organization, communication, and teamwork skills; familiarity with LIMS and instrument software.
Preferred Experience
Ultima Genomics sequencing experience, particularly workflow execution, run monitoring, QC assessment, and troubleshooting.
Single-cell library preparation using 10x Genomics, Parse Biosciences, or similar technologies; familiarity with spatial transcriptomics, long-read sequencing, or proteomics workflows.
