Full‑Time Store Manager Trainee – ALDI USA
As a Store Manager Trainee, you’ll train on all aspects of running a store, preparing for your own store leadership role. You will supervise day‑to‑day operations, ensure overall store performance, manage staffing and schedules, develop action plans, mentor the team, and drive results.

Estimated Year 1 Earnings: Up to $114,000 (salary & bonus)
Duties and Responsibilities- Consistently demonstrate ALDI mindsets, competencies, and professional skills.
- Supervise day‑to‑day operations and performance, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- Communicate and model company strategy and values to foster teamwork.
- Handle customer concerns with appropriate resolution.
- Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness.
- Assist in hiring: review resumes, interview candidates.
- Prepare, manage, and revise weekly schedules for staffing levels.
- Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Conduct store meetings.
- Identify training and development opportunities to improve performance.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations, recommending advancement or termination.
- Achieve payroll and loss‑budget targets.
- Manage cash audits with store leadership.
- Monitor competitive environment and recommend adjustments.
- Provide product feedback regarding new items or discontinuations.
- Maintain a safe environment, mitigate hazards, and ensure proper equipment use.
- Oversee product merchandising and proper stock levels.
- Conduct inventory counts and reconciliations per company guidelines.
- Comply with all company policies and maintain data confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Stock merchandise from receiving to shelving; lift up to 45 lb.
- Stand, sit, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk frequently.
- Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Minimum age 18.
- Independent and team‑oriented work capability.
- Provide and lead customer service excellence.
- Build rapport, trust, and open communication to develop performance.
- Interpret and apply company policies.
- Set goals and guide employee performance.
- Evaluate and drive performance for self and others.
- Apply budgeting, personnel cost, and expense principles.
- Operate cash register accurately.
- Operate equipment safely (hand jack, floor scrubber, baler) and perform cleaning duties.
- Stay organized and multi‑task efficiently.
- Meet state/local alcohol handling requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 years progressive retail experience.
- Combination of education and experience for equivalent knowledge.
- Prior management experience preferred.
Full‑time trainees may train at multiple locations and require flexibility to travel within the division.
