Repair and Tool Technician

Overview

Repair and Tool Technician role at The Home Depot. This position involves evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices. Technicians may work in stores with Tool Rental Centers or in repair centers, providing service to store customers and maintaining tool inventory.

• Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices.
• Make equipment recommendations and ensure units are properly maintained.
• Provide service to customers in Tool Rental, including writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs.
• Check tool operation and demonstrate proper use as needed.
• Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department.
• In non-store locations, ensure units are repaired, tested for repair quality, and cleaned prior to returning to the originating store.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage tool inventory by maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.

Positions may be in-store or in repair centers.
