What You’ll Do- Lead routine NGS analyses and develop reproducible, scalable pipelines tailored to project needs.
- Support advanced analyses including AI‑driven workflows
, long‑read sequencing
, single‑cell
, and spatial transcriptomics
. - Research, implement, and optimize AI/ML tools
, QC methods, and analytical processes. - Maintain reproducible workflows using Snakemake, Nextflow, nf‑core
, and similar frameworks across local systems,
SLURM HPC
, and cloud environments. - Collaborate with wet‑lab scientists and project managers to define project requirements and deliver high‑quality results to clients.
- Assess project feasibility, provide realistic timelines, and communicate insights effectively.
- Work with the IT Team to leverage HPC and AWS for scalable, high‑performance workflows.
- Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to best practices, version control, and reproducibility standards.
- M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or related field with 5+ years of applied experience
, or - Ph.D. with 3–5 years of hands‑on experience
.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, Shell
, and command‑line tools. - Solid understanding of genomics, molecular biology, and core biological principles.
- Experience across multiple omics platforms, including bulk &
single‑cell RNA‑seq
. - Spatial transcriptomics (Visium, Parse, Stereo‑seq) is a plus.
- Experience working in Linux
, HPC, and/or cloud computing environments. - Hands‑on experience with workflow frameworks such as nf‑core, Snakemake, Nextflow
. - Ability to interpret results and communicate insights clearly to scientific and clinical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- AI/ML experience in genomics or computational biology.
- Familiarity with Docker, Singularity, or other containerization tools.
- Salary Range Starting at: $80,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
- Bonus Eligibility: Performance‑based discretionary bonus
