Primary

Purpose:

As a Sanitation Associate, maintain all sanitation standards established by the Distribution Center to ensure a clean and safe work environment for all associates.

• Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills promptly, dust racks, doors, lights, etc.
• Sweep and mop slots.
• Clean sanitation equipment, including sanitation boxes and mops.
• Sweep and scrub floors, including outside areas, to ensure safety, sanitation and efficiency.
• Maintain equipment daily, topping off fluids, cleaning brushes and washing equipment.
• Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance.
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes to maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.

• Able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 60 lbs. of equipment.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
• Able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties.

• High School Education.
• Certification on powered industrial equipment where applicable (will train associates).
• Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment.

• Able to meet production standards set by the company.
• Able to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
