Join Inter Med, P.A. as a Medical Assistant to provide high‑quality patient care and support our clinical team.

Responsibilities
  • Gather patient information, vital signs, and health history in the electronic medical record.
  • Administer medications and vaccines per protocol and complete necessary clinical documentation.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing and assist with in‑office procedures.
  • Maintain clinical equipment, supplies, and chart accuracy while adhering to HIPAA standards.
  • Perform administrative duties including patient outreach, scheduling, and care coordination with in‑house specialties and community resources.
  • Complete mandatory education, certification maintenance, and other duties as assigned to support Inter Med’s mission.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Medical Assistant or related program (preferred).
  • 0+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • BLS certification required within 6 weeks of hire.
  • Current CMA or RMA certification preferred.
  • Excellent phone skills, prioritization, and decision‑making under fast‑paced conditions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficient in Windows, Microsoft applications, and electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrates excellent professional judgment, phone skills, and prioritization decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and respond to rapidly changing, sometimes acute patient care needs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications, and electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred.
