We’re seeking a Manager of Membership Recruitment to lead our membership growth initiatives with a results-driven, community-focused approach. What does the Manager of Membership Recruitment do?

  • Provide strategic leadership in monitoring and analyzing recruitment data to evaluate progress toward council membership goals. Utilize market and demographic insights, membership trends, and performance metrics to establish and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure impact, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Produce clear, actionable reports that support the development of targeted member recruitment goals, strategies, and campaigns to ensure sustained membership growth and engagement.
  • Supervises, trains and guides recruitment staff in proficient use of girl and volunteer-related trends, marketing, and sales techniques to ensure the successful achievement of membership growth goals.
  • Supervise administrative staff responsible for scheduling, booking venues, managing event calendars, and supporting recruitment logistics. Ensure events are well-staffed, accessible, and reflective of the organization’s values.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with staff and volunteers to integrate recruitment into all aspects of council activities, ensuring that every interaction and initiative serves as an opportunity to welcome new members and grow participation.
  • Cultivate partnerships with schools, community organizations, faith-based institutions, and local leaders to raise awareness and generate leads.
  • Develop a deep understanding of diverse communities to build authentic partnerships with community organizations, agencies, leaders, educators, and faith-based institutions, increasing awareness, engagement, and participation in the organization to drive membership growth.
  • Oversee and manage the department budget, ensuring expenses align with organizational priorities and approved allocations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in membership recruitment, sales, or community engagement, preferably within a nonprofit or youth-focused organization.
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement recruitment and sales strategies that drive growth and engagement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience analyzing data and metrics to inform recruitment strategies and track success.
  • Strong team-building skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and departments.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and perform well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel), with intermediate Excel skills
  • Familiarity with CRM software with prior Salesforce experience preferred.
