As a Security Officer Exterior Patrol in South Portland, ME, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control and badge procedures, and provide outstanding customer service.

• Provide customer service to retail distribution personnel, drivers, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and document the entry and exit of authorized personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and requested support to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, unusual conditions, and security-related concerns observed during the shift.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
