AboutThe Role
As a Welding Technician at Torus, you will be responsible for executing welding operations, designing fixtures to enhance efficiency, conducting inline quality inspections, and troubleshooting process issues. The successful candidate has a strong background in various welding and cutting techniques, demonstrates proficiency in fixture design, and excels in inline quality inspection. Collaboration with team members, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication are essential aspects of this role.
Responsibilities- Welding Operations:
Perform welding tasks according to specifications and blueprints using various welding techniques. - Fixture Design:
Develop and design fixtures to enhance welding processes, improve efficiency, and ensure consistent quality. - Inline Quality Inspection:
Conduct thorough inline quality inspections to ensure that welding processes meet the highest standards and comply with industry regulations. - Process Troubleshooting:
Identify and troubleshoot welding process issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal efficiency. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of welding activities, including specifications, inspection results, and any troubleshooting efforts. - Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members, including engineers and production staff, to achieve seamless integration of welding processes within the overall manufacturing workflow. - Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and specifications. Must possess strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues effectively. - Safety Consciousness:
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Familiarity with safety regulations and practices related to electrical and mechanical assembly work. - Communication
Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and efficient problem-solving. - Time Management:
Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet production deadlines without compromising quality. - Flexibility:
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of hands‑on experience in welding operations within a manufacturing setting including materials like aluminum and mild steel.
- Proficient in various welding techniques including MIG and TIG, OXY‑Acetylene, capable to weld in different positions (e.g., 2G, 2F, 3G, 4F).
- Strong fixture design skills.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct inline quality inspections.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting welding processes.
