Contracts Manager II
BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Contract Manager to join our client’s site in South San Francisco, CA. This role will support the assessment, analysis, drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of contracts so that internal departments may procure services and collaborate with external parties efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
W2 Contract – 6 months with possible extensions
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
Pay Rate: $45.97 - $49.97 /hour – Determined based on experience (Paid weekly)
Work Model:
Hybrid – three days on site, two days remotely
Note: This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered
Summary of
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct compliant, thorough assessment, analysis, drafting, review, and negotiation of contractual documents
- Negotiate contract terms while considering risk exposure and departmental risk tolerance and guidelines
- Make legal decisions during contract negotiations with minimal reliance on legal teams
- Advise and influence stakeholders and functional leadership on contractual and business terms and process efficiencies
- Partner with stakeholder groups to assess future needs and implement changes to internal processes
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners and stakeholders
- Act as a resource within the group and train other contract managers on processes, negotiation strategies, templates, and playbooks
- Exert influence on departmental objectives and long‑range goals and lead process improvements or special projects
- Deliver presentations to stakeholders and leadership to build understanding of contract purpose, process, and areas of concern
- Maintain records of executed contracts and respond to audit requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Business, Legal, or related discipline, or equivalent education plus experience
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of customer focus and ability to build and maintain effective internal and external partnerships
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in contract management preferred
