The senior accountant will be reporting to the Corporate Controller and is a key contributor to support accounting operations and prepare other ad-hoc analysis as needed. This position will be responsible for performing general accounting, accounts payable or payroll related tasks, and working with cross‑functional teams, supporting projects, and implementing process improvements in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support and adhere to a monthly close and year‑end close schedule by preparing accurate journal entries and completing reconciliations and analyses for various accounts timely.
- Assist with monthly management financial packages (with analysis) and other management reports as requested, including understanding and clearly articulating the financial results of the company and preparing balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide required audit support.
- Prepare and support tax PBC requests in various areas (including federal, state, and tax provision for audit requirements).
- Process and oversee payroll through Pay Pro, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation, deductions, benefits, and tax with holdings.
- Reconcile payroll‑related accounts and prepare payroll journal entries.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure data integrity in all payroll and employee financial records.
- Assist accounts payable operations, including vendor invoices, payment processing, and purchase order reconciliation.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes using ERP systems or other tools.
- Work with cross‑functional teams across the company to ensure proper support for the business unit.
- Work on ad‑hoc requests as needed and directed by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Proficiency in Net Suite accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytic, written, verbal, and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage conflicting priorities to deliver high‑quality work.
- Highly self‑motivated individual who is disciplined, detail‑oriented, and works well under pressure in a fast‑paced deadline‑oriented environment.
- Advanced Excel and Google Suite of products (Sheets, Docs, Slides) is a plus.
- Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

The base pay range for this position is expected to be $110,000 - $130,000 annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the market, job‑related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
