  • Cognizant is seeking a contractor to work with Pharmaceutical IT groups in a GxP environment. The job involves providing support for new and existing hardware and software, troubleshooting and resolving assigned tasks/issues, and communicating with clients and stakeholders in both IT and Business. The candidate must have strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and technical skills in Service Desk and Service Desk App Support domain.

    The candidate must understand and adhere to standards regarding applicable corporate policies, especially GxP compliance.

    Job Summary:
    A Senior Consultant works and performs independently – often without the need for clear direction or supervision to enhance the overall value of an engagement. This includes having the capabilities to deliver business process and re-engineering solutions by effectively defining problem/scope, gathering/analyzing data, and structuring recommendations, creating presentations, and making compelling recommendations to clients. Upward management and peer mentoring are key leadership responsibilities and are indicators for readiness to move to Consulting Manager.

    Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary support for formulation of problem statement and definition of scope for assigned area(s).
  • Work independently and bring thought leadership to identify root causes.
  • Support the identification of project risks and mitigation.
  • Demonstrate exceptional requirement gathering techniques with minimal direction.
  • Organize and sequence requirements into a user requirements document.
  • Review and analyze relevant documentation to ensure understanding of an organization's function and capabilities.
