We focus on life sciences, cultural, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multi‑family residential, office and retail projects.
Your RoleWe are looking for a hybrid role of an Assistant Project Manager & Leasing Coordinator to join our San Francisco office. This person will support the PMA project team and collaborate with the client and project teams through strategic real estate planning, pre‑lease efforts, design and construction of new buildings, tenant improvement buildouts, and facilities assignments for lab and life sciences projects.
- 2+ years of development and/or project management experience; experience with Real Estate brokerage firms or brokers is a plus; accounting experience is also a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, Real Estate Finance, or a related field.
- Effective communication of critical information to key stakeholders, often quickly and with short notice.
- Assists with the development and completion of project‑specific tasks to meet or exceed client expectations and contractual obligations.
- Weekly interaction with the client and Real Estate brokers; communicate succinctly, directly, and professionally; foster strong relationships with clients and brokerage teams.
- Familiarity with Real Estate terminology and Development Financial metrics, including pro‑forma spreadsheets, project budgets, lease negotiation and review, and leasing strategies.
- Supports the planning and analysis of conceptual design issues and pre‑construction activities.
- Maintains organized deal files (proposals, RFPs, lease documentation, drawings, budgets, schedules, etc.).
- Gathers and maintains critical building documentation (building system matrices, BOMA reports, as‑built plans, process utility information, and other due diligence materials).
- Basic understanding of real estate design and architectural drawings; assists in early design efforts with prospective tenants (block plans, test fits, space planning, programming, equipment requirements).
- Creates budgets in the six to eight‑figure range, drafts milestone schedules, analyzes potential changes to budget or schedule, and communicates potential issues to team members.
- Effectively schedules meetings, attends site walks, and coordinates schedule availability to meet with contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, brokers, clients and other stakeholders.
- Directs and/or documents project meetings, follows up on open items, and drives projects close‑out process to completion.
- Assists in general agreements, documents recommendations, enforces requirements, and reviews changes in lease agreements and consultant contracts; familiarity with Lease Agreements, real‑estate transaction negotiations, and contract negotiations is preferred.
