We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Art & Design Lecturer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
About the RoleAs an Art & Design Lecturer you will deliver engaging lessons across a range of disciplines including both digital and traditional processes such as 3D design, painting, drawing, illustration, fashion, photography, fine art and printmaking. You will support learners in achieving their full potential, preparing them for industry briefs, higher education and creative careers.

- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience working with external agencies, partner organisations and employers
- Ability to analyse and interpret data
- Comprehensive understanding of both digital and traditional Art & Design techniques
- Degree or professional qualification relevant to Art & Design
- Teaching qualification
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent
- Subject specialist qualification at Level 7 or above
- Assessor and / or Verifier award
- Successful teaching experience and / or vocational / industrial experience
- Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies in Art & Design
- Strong industry links and employer contacts
- Experience embedding English and Maths into curriculum delivery
- Experience teaching Higher Education
- Promoting learners’ work and showcasing achievement
- Preparing learners for industry briefs and community projects
