Are you passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
About the RoleAs Head of SEND and ALS, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership for SEND and inclusion across the college.
- Manage multiple budgets, including Additional Learning Support and High Needs funding.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
- Collaborate with curriculum teams to embed inclusive teaching strategies.
- Liaise with local authorities, external agencies, and parents/carers to deliver exceptional learner support.
- Extensive experience in post-16 education and SEND leadership.
- Proven track record of working with local authorities, external agencies, and Ofsted inspections.
- Strong knowledge of ALS funding methodology and audit requirements.
- Level 4 or above in Education, Health, or Social Care.
- English and Maths at Level 2 (or equivalent).
- Desirable: QTS or SEN-specific qualifications.
- Ability to manage budgets and lead strategic planning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive education.
