Looking to start a career in education, behaviour support or pastoral work? This trainee Behaviour Support Assistant role is ideal if you’ve worked with children in any capacity and want to develop specialist skills.

You don’t need a qualification — just the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting pupils who struggle with behaviour or emotional regulation
• Learning behaviour support strategies from experienced staff
• Helping pupils stay safe, calm and engaged
• Supporting routines, transitions and break times
• Taking part in training and reflective practice

This role would suit someone who

• Has experience in care, youth work, coaching or education
• Is patient, calm and open to learning
• Understands that behaviour is communication
• Wants a long-term career working with young people
