Behaviour Support / Intervention Teaching Assistant

Location: South Shields
Rate: £90–£110 per day

We’re recruiting Behaviour Support Assistants to join a dynamic team working with pupils who have struggled to thrive in mainstream settings. You’ll support personal development and learning through structured intervention, daily routines, and emotional regulation support.

• Delivering planned behaviour support sessions.
• Supporting pupils to self-regulate and engage with learning.
• Working alongside class teachers to deliver personalised programmes.
• Monitoring and reporting pupil progress.

• Calm approach with strong interpersonal skills.
• Confidence in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
• A belief in second chances and alternative pathways for pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
