Primary Teaching Assistant

GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in South Shields
. This Primary Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a primary school setting.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant
, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary curriculum and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The school is keen to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant who is caring, proactive, and enthusiastic about making a difference.

• Supporting pupils with their learning in line with the primary national curriculum.
• Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
• Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis as a Primary Teaching Assistant
  .
• Supporting behaviour and promoting positive engagement in lessons.
• Helping to deliver creative and engaging learning activities.
• Providing a high standard of safeguarding and pastoral care as a Primary Teaching Assistant
  .

• Be available to work Monday to Friday.
• Have experience in a primary school setting (desirable but not essential).
• Be kind, patient, and enthusiastic.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
• Have a fully checkable work history.
