We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic teaching assistant who will join our team of highly motivated teachers, support staff and leaders who care about our children’s academic and pastoral development so that we make a difference to each one of them.
Responsibilities- Work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work, care and support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
- Assist the teacher in the whole planning cycle and in the management and preparation of resources.
- Supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Maintain good order and keep pupils on task as the primary focus.
- Enhanced DBS checks are mandatory for all school staff.
- The position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of pre‑employment checks.
