Behaviour and Pastoral Support Assistant

Protocol Education is recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a specialist SEND school supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils who may present challenging behaviours
• Implementing behaviour support plans
• Assisting with emotional regulation activities
• Supporting classroom learning and engagement
• Promoting independence and confidence
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families

• Monday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
• Thursday: 8:30am – 4:15pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 3:15pm

• SEND experience desirable but not essential
• Ability to build positive relationships
• Patient and empathetic approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply and pay for one
• Full‑time applicants only

• Ongoing CPD and SEND training
• Dedicated consultant support
• Potential permanent opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
