The Supply Register is delighted to be recruiting for a passionate and dedicated English Lecturer on behalf of Tyne Coast College. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic educator committed to delivering outstanding teaching and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

You will teach English across a range of programmes, helping students develop the literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills needed for further study, employment, and everyday life.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to learners of varying abilities.
• Teach GCSE and/or Functional Skills English qualifications.
• Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
• Develop and adapt learning materials to meet individual learner needs.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
• Contribute to course development and quality improvement activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and student support teams to ensure positive learner outcomes.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of teaching and learning.

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• A degree in English, English Literature, Language, or a related subject.
• Experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills English.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for education and learner success.
• The ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of current FE teaching practices and assessment methods.
