The Supply Register collaborates with Tyne Coast College, South Tyneside Campus, to recruit a passionate and experienced Maths Lecturer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. This role supports students in developing their mathematical knowledge, confidence, and skills across Functional Skills Maths and GCSE Maths programmes.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver effective Maths lessons across Functional Skills and GCSE Maths programmes
- Assess and monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback and support
- Prepare students for examinations and support achievement of positive outcomes
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student success
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Engage in continuous professional development
Monday – Thursday: 08:45
Friday: 08:30
- A Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Maths
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths within a Further Education environment
- Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills
- A commitment to supporting learners and improving student outcomes
