Contract: Temporary assignment (predicted end date: October Half Term)

The Supply Register collaborates with Tyne Coast College, South Tyneside Campus, to recruit a passionate and experienced Maths Lecturer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. This role supports students in developing their mathematical knowledge, confidence, and skills across Functional Skills Maths and GCSE Maths programmes.

• Plan and deliver effective Maths lessons across Functional Skills and GCSE Maths programmes
• Assess and monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback and support
• Prepare students for examinations and support achievement of positive outcomes
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student success
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
• Engage in continuous professional development

Monday – Thursday: 08:45
Friday: 08:30

• A Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Maths
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent
• Experience teaching Maths within a Further Education environment
• Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills
• A commitment to supporting learners and improving student outcomes
