We're currently recruiting for a Classroom Engagement Mentor to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools, starting in September
.

This exciting opportunity is ideal for graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, SEND support, social work or other child-focused professions.

As a Classroom Engagement Mentor, you ll play a key role in supporting pupils  academic progress, confidence, engagement and overall development, helping them to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and whole-class basis.

• Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and participation in learning.

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

• Deliver targeted interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths.

• Assist children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.

• Promote positive behaviour and help pupils develop social and emotional skills.

• Support pupils  confidence, independence and resilience.

• Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.

• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

We welcome applications from graduates who have completed one of the following degrees within the last five years
:

• Childhood Studies

• Early Years Childhood Studies

• Psychology

• Criminology

• BA Education

• Primary Education

• MA Education

• MA Education (SEND and Inclusion)

• PGCE

• Other Education, Child Development or Social Science-related degrees

• Degree obtained within the last five years
  .

• Professional employment references covering the last two years
  .

• A genuine passion for working with children and young people.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach.

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
