Young Minds Mentor
We're currently recruiting for a Young Minds Mentor to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools, starting in September
.

Your Main Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children to support engagement and wellbeing.
- Help pupils overcome social, emotional and behavioural barriers to learning.
- Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.
- Deliver targeted interventions to support academic and personal development.
- Promote confidence, resilience, independence and positive self-esteem.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCOs and pastoral teams.
- Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

- Learning Support Assistant roles
- Teaching Assistant roles
- Degree obtained within the last five years or relevant experience supporting children and young people.
- Professional employment references covering the last two years.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
- Understanding of SEND, SEMH, Autism or ADHD is advantageous.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
