Pay: £98-£120 per day
Protocol Education are looking for Sports & SEMH Teaching Assistants to support young people across South Shields.
This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys working with young people and understands the value of sport, routine, teamwork and positive relationships
.
You will help pupils to access education and develop their confidence by:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Working 1:1 and in small groups
- Supporting classroom learning
- Assisting with PE and sport
- Encouraging positive behaviour
- Helping pupils regulate emotions
- Building strong relationships
- Encouraging teamwork and communication
- Supporting pupils during less structured parts of the day
- Mentoring and encouraging positive choices
- Promoting independence and confidence
We're keen to hear from people with experience in:
Football | Rugby | Boxing | Fitness | PE | Athletics | Basketball | Martial Arts | Coaching | Youth Work | Teaching Assistance
You should be confident, reliable and able to build positive relationships with young people.
We'd Ideally Like Someone Who Can DriveA full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is highly desirable for this position.
This can be particularly useful when travelling to schools across South Shields and surrounding areas.
DBS RequirementsIf you already have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, this is advantageous and could support an immediate start.
If you don't have one, you can still apply, but you will need to be able to apply for an Enhanced DBS ASAP and complete the necessary safeguarding process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
