Protocol Education are looking for Sports Coaches to work as Teaching Assistants within a specialist SEMH setting in South Shields.

This could be a brilliant next step for someone who wants to take their coaching experience into a school environment.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll support pupils both inside and outside the classroom by:

Building relationships through shared interests
Supporting SEMH and behavioural needs
Helping pupils engage with learning
Supporting PE and sporting activities
Working 1:1 and in small groups
Encouraging teamwork and communication
Supporting positive behaviour
Helping pupils manage emotions
Mentoring pupils
Promoting confidence and resilience
Being a consistent positive role model

Permanent Opportunity

The school is looking for staff who could become part of their team longer term.

For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to progress from the temporary role into a permanent position.

Ideally, You'll Be Able to Drive

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be highly desirable
, although we can consider candidates on an individual basis.

Hours

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

This is a full-time, term-time position.
