Carton Gluing Operative
Dartford, Kent
Up to £35,000 DOE
Rotating Shifts – Monday to Friday
(06:00–13:30 / 13:30–21:00)
I’m currently working with a well‑established packaging manufacturer who are looking to add an experienced Carton Gluing Operative to their production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and growing business supplying high‑quality carton packaging solutions within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the finishing department, ensuring products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role- Setting up and operating carton gluing machinery
- Producing Straight Line, Crash Lock, 4 Corner, and 6 Corner cartons
- Running Window Patching and Tray Forming/Nesting equipment
- Monitoring quality, adhesion, folding accuracy, and overall finish
- Carrying out quality checks and completing production documentation
- Supporting machine changeovers and troubleshooting minor faults
- Working to production targets while minimising downtime and waste
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production
- Previous experience within carton gluing or packaging production
- Experience with Straight Line, Crash Lock, 4 Corner, and 6 Corner cartons
- Experience with Bobst machinery would be highly advantageous
- Window patching or tray forming experience beneficial
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability
- Good understanding of quality standards, GMP, and manufacturing procedures
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
