Located in the North East of England, Ford Aerospace are specialists in Machined Aerospace Components and Precision Shims.
The company has a vacancy for a Part Marker and Tester to support the verification and positive identification of products in line with the requirements of the quality management system and customer requirements. In accordance with our company standards and procedures, part marking, hardness testing and peel testing of laminate material will be provided to the successful candidate.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES- Read engineering drawings and job information to determine correct part marking information
- Execute individual workload to achieve daily work-to-list tasks
- Part mark components (full training provided)
- Hardness test of components (full training provided)
- Peel test laminate material (full training provided)
- Ensure 'Right First Time' to prevent scrap/rework
- Carry out daily equipment checks/calibration and recording of data
- Participate in continuous improvement programs
- Ensure all equipment used is in good working condition
- Maintain working area, adhering to stringent housekeeping standards.

Note:
we operate a 4 day working week (37.5hours)
- Day Shift
- Monday to Wednesday - 07:00 to 17:00 & Thursday 07:00 to 16:30 - Earlies
- Monday to Wednesday - 06:00 to 16:00 & Thursday 06:00 to 15:30 - Lates
- Monday to Wednesday - 13:00 to 23:00 & Thursday 13:00 to 22:30 - Paid shift allowance
