Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2027
South Tyneside Council declared a Climate Emergency in July 2019 and an Ecological Emergency in March 2023. Tree planting has been identified as a priority for offsetting carbon emissions as well as benefiting wildlife and landscape, embedding carbon consciousness and providing an opportunity for people to take practical action.
You will effectively contribute to the work of the Environmental Sustainability Team to ensure that South Tyneside is a clean and attractive place to live and visit, that it is safe and a community where people are healthy. In particular, you will be responsible for assisting the team with its arboricultural services including tree planting and woodland creation in South Tyneside.
