Child Contact Centre Coordinator

We are recruiting for a Child Contact Centre Coordinator to lead a well-established service supporting children and families across South Shields and the surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day running of a busy Child Contact Centre
• Lead, supervise, and support sessional contact staff
• Ensure safe, high-quality supervised and supported contact sessions
• Work directly with children and families experiencing complex circumstances
• Manage safeguarding and risk in line with best practice
• Maintain strong relationships with families and partner agencies

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Social Care, or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in family support, social care, or children s services
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Experience working with families in conflict or challenging situations
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

• Higher qualification (e.g. Cert HE or equivalent)
• HCPC registration

Working Hours

• Full-time 35 hours per week
• Alternate weekends (9am 6pm)
• Flexible midweek working

Salary & Benefits
