South Sioux City Community Schools is seeking a passionate, visionary, and values-driven leader to serve as our EN Swett Preschool Principal. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, engaging, ard high-quality early learning environment where every child can thrive.
The EN Swett Principal provides instructional leadership and operational oversight of a high-quality preschool program. This leadership role is essential in creating a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment where young learners build the foundation for lifelong success.
Key Responsibilities:- Support and Develop Staff:
Coach, mentor, and empower preschool teachers and support staff to strengthen instructional practices, build expertise, and maximize student learning opportunities. - Lead with Vision:
Provide instructional leadership focused on high-quality early childhood education and a shared commitment to continuous improvement. - Cultivate a Positive and Collaborative Culture:
Instill a trusting, respectful, and supporting environment where staff feel valued, supported, and encouraged to grow professionally. - Support High-Quality Instruction:
Work alongside staff to implement developmentally appropriate practices, analyze student learning data, and provide resources and professional learning to enhance instruction. - Create strong relationships with families:
Create strong relationships with families and the community to support student success. - Ensure Safe and Effective Operations:
Manage daily operations, scheduling, budgeting, and complaince with Dstirct, state, and licensing requirements. - Promote Equity and Inclusion:
Ensure all children feel valued, respected, and supoorted in a culturally responsive environment.
